4 C E L E B R AT E what youve accomplished but RAISE THE BAR a little each time you succeed. MIA HAMM OLYMPIAN Greetings from Innsbrook This year Innsbrook will enjoy a season of celebrations. We began celebrating the dawn of our 45th anniversary with a wonderful display of fireworks at midnight as we rang in the New Year and weve been picking up speed ever since as Valentines and Easter celebrations saw record numbers of happy participants. The coming Memorial Day weekend will have special meaning as we enter into a new era of celebration. Family and friends will once again gather over the course of the holiday for a myriad of events concerts races regattas tourneys and of course Saturdays anchor eventthe annual Innsbrook Anniversary party. Were raising the bar this year by taking the party down the road to the beautiful new Charrette Creek Commons. I look forward to celebrating this important new amenity for our community with you all. Speaking of the Commons I would like to first thank the members of our community for the overwhelming support for this venture. What began as a simple solution to replace an aging pool soon morphed into an opportunity to create a new base of recreation for Innsbrook families and friends. We were able to combine historically successful events and add them to a long wish list of suggestions that weve received from so many of you over the years into an area that is designed for fun and function alike. Of course the pool is what many of you have been missing most and this new facility with its combination of lap lanes lazy river and vortex will be a treat all summer long. The poolside Summerhaus will be a great way for families to relax and share a meal while lounging at the pool or listening to the concerts and for adults to enjoy a beverage or two. The playground will surely be a hit with its nature-based theme and camouflaged critter images for the young to explore and delight in year-round. The fitness equipment and workout spaces are ample and were looking forward to the new types of programs that we can now offer such as Zumba and yoga.
