On Saturday, August 26, 2017, Innsbrook hosted the Second Annual Swim Across America St. Louis open water swim on Alpine Lake to raise money for cancer research. Swimmers from all over the country swam 0.5, 1.2 or 2.4 miles in the calm, clear waters of Innsbrook's largest lake for a wonderful, local cause. The following is media coverage of the event.
Message from Swim Across America: "Together with over 340 swimmers, six Olympians, five university swim teams and 70-plus dedicated volunteers, Swim Across America crushed all expectations and raised over $147,000 for Siteman Cancer Center. On a beautiful Saturday morning, Innsbrook once again rose to the occasion for this great event, displaying its generous spirit and warm hospitality in 'Making Waves to Fight Cancer'. Mark your calendars for August 25, 2018, when the Third Annual Swim Across America St. Louis returns!"
