The latest round of remodels has been completed at Innsbrook Resort’s Conference Center, located less than an hour outside of St. Louis. The bulk of the renovating took place in the Aspen Room and the Foxfire Lounge areas and was aimed at modernizing and brightening the lodge-like space.
“With a meeting or retreat at Innsbrook, conferees can come together to accomplish their goals without being distracted by the hustle and bustle of a downtown meeting location,” said Innsbrook Conference Center General Manager Dan Thomas. “They can focus on the task at hand with face-to-face discussion and team-building exercises, both important in establishing a connection on a professional level.”
Renovations began last fall with the addition of a floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace in the main dining room, which hosts a beamed cathedral ceiling. Walls were removed while others were lightened to open the space, bring in more natural light, and allow for lake views throughout the room.
“Each meeting room at Innsbrook boasts plenty of natural light and private outdoor patio space convenient for breaks between meeting sessions,” said Thomas. “The most recent renovations have gone even further in bringing the outdoors in and helping groups get creative and have an enjoyable and productive experience in a refreshing new environment.
The Foxfire area of the Innsbrook Conference Center has grown from a lounge to a multi-functional area that can host meals, meeting breaks, and parties. The space overlooks 150-acre Lake Aspen and provides a year-round gathering area, in which slate flooring, cambria countertops, and rock facing were recently installed.
Future renovation plans include a new location for the swimming pool and a large, multi-level patio that will blend seamlessly with the surrounding natural environment.
“The staff at Innsbrook encourage meeting planners or anyone interested in holding a family or class reunion, birthday party, wedding, and any event of the like, to pay us a visit,” said Thomas. “We’ll be happy to take them for a personal tour.”
