Have you heard about the Missouri Bicentennial quilt? In celebration of our State’s 200th anniversary, one quilt block from each county - along with the independent City of St. Louis – is featured in this special piece. “Since the pioneer days of the American Midwest, quilts have been a cornerstone of Missouri culture, fashion, and tradition,” states the MO bicentennial quilt competition on its website.
Innsbrook is proud to announce that our very own IBK property owner, Marsha Tischler, submitted her quilt block inspired by Innsbrook’s historic Log Cabin and it was chosen as the winner for Warren County! Below is a photo of her gorgeous block, made up of more than 90 individual pieces of cloth within the 6x6-inch square. We are so excited, honored and happy for Marsha! Read on to learn about how Marsha got involved in quilting, why she chose to feature the IBK Log Cabin, and what she’s learned throughout the process.
