INNSBROOK, MO (June 15, 2020) - Innsbrook is pleased to announce Kat Metzger, with Dun Right Stables, as its new stables operator, starting June 15. Kat possesses more than 25 years of involvement in the horse community as a ranch worker and horse trainer in Colorado, a caregiver for the world-renowned touring Clydesdale team of St. Louis and, most recently, as a coach, instructor, and equine professional in Missouri.
Kat attended Michigan State University’s equine business management program. Her passion for horses began as a child and continued in high school, where she showed horses on her school’s competitive equestrian team, performed competitive and exhibition vaulting, volunteered with 4-H, and topped the youth division in the Foundation Quarter Horse Circuit. Kat says her equestrian skills helped hone her quick-thinking and problem-solving abilities. “Once I was hooked, there was no going back! Inspiring others to push towards their goals became the big picture for me.”
Kat’s knowledge and inspiring spirit means she comes to Innsbrook with lots of new ideas, along with a willingness to learn, and to teach. “I look forward to expanding the programs, camps, and boarding experiences offered at Innsbrook stables, for horse-lovers of all ages to grow in their equestrian knowledge,” she said. “I am a creative person, and am confident we will continue to build upon the amazing things already established at Innsbrook.”
Along with Kat comes her Dun Right Stables business partner and spouse, Aaron Bahr, and their two children, Cheyenne, 10, and Maddox, 13. “Aaron is an avid animal lover, and has a passion for the quality and care of the horses. His attention to detail, integrity, and commitment to ‘doing things right the first time,’ is great benefit to our team,” Kat said.
“I look forward to continuing to advance my horse knowledge, and growing and sharing that knowledge with the Innsbrook family,” Aaron said. Aaron brings with him a substantial management background, and Kat anticipates his talents will be instrumental in creating new programs and services at Innsbrook’s stables.
“Innsbrook created a safe haven in nature, surrounded by a welcoming community that shares the same passion for connecting with all nature has to offer,” Kat said. “We are so excited to become a part of that community and look forward to meeting everyone!”
