Driving Range Upgrades!
Innsbrook's golf team is excited to announce that a new driving range project is complete! We are looking forward to the anticipated opening date of July 1.
The upper tee box was expanded by approximately eight yards, realigned, laser leveled, and resodded with new zoysia grass. By expanding the hitting area, golfers will have better turf grass to hit from all season long. A larger hitting area allows the zoysia grass to more completely fill in as the teeing area is rotated on a daily basis. This provides more plush turf conditions and helps to reduce the number of bare areas on the practice tee.
Realigning the teeing area will allow golfers to point straight down the driving range as they would from a tee box on the golf course. With all of this is completed, golfers will have a larger, flatter, and better-aligned practice tee with perfect zoysia grass to hit from! We will also have a range attendant during the busiest times and will be installing security cameras to help monitor the use of the driving range.
At the same time the driving range tee was being improved, we also laser leveled and sodded the back tee box on #9.
Another area we have had several questions about are the restrooms on the golf course. Those were kept closed in an abundance of caution with the coronavirus pandemic. As of June 5, the restrooms will be open and available to golfers. We will be cleaning these once daily and always encourage the frequent use of hand sanitizer.
Please remember that all golfers must check in with the golf shop prior to starting, all play must start on #1 (unless otherwise approved – as an example: league play), and skipping holes is not allowed.

Innsbrook Completes $3 Million Renovation
Innsbrook’s 18-hole championship public golf course recently received a facelift – to the tune of $3 million in course renovations. The resort’s investment in tees, greens, fairways, equipment and management aims to provide golfers with an exemplary golf experience at Innsbrook.
“We recently celebrated the completion of our entire golf course irrigation system and new cart paths, a project we started last year – we’re so happy to see the impressive results,” said Lucy Hughes, president of Walters Golf Management. “Our golf course superintendent Matt Hovanec and his staff did an amazing job!”
The entirely new golf experience lets golfers tee-off while enjoying plush Zoysia fairways, along with:
Newly repaved cart paths overlayed with smooth black asphalt for a sleek, resurfaced look and comfortable ride throughout the course;
All brand-new Club Tempo golf carts, boasting USB ports, sand bottles for fixing divots and extra-comfortable seats;
New state-of-the-art irrigation system with 87,000 linear feet of pipe and 133.5 miles of wiring;
New tenth tee at the turn for golfers’ food and beverage needs. Golfers can now enjoy a hot dog or brat, chips, soda, water and other favorites without having to leave their game.
Golfers report they are loving the renovations. “Our new irrigation system has been received very well and it is obvious what a benefit it is to the overall condition of the golf course,” said Innsbrook Golf Pro Kevin Corn. “Customer reviews have been better than ever which is directly attributable to the projects that were completed, as well as the hard work of our maintenance staff who work wonders at keeping the golf course in fantastic shape!”
